IIM Hosts Expert Talk on Building Mentally Healthy, Resilient & Future-Ready Campuses
Psychologist Dr. Mayuri Upmanyu leads the session, organised in collaboration with YouWeCare
Date: 10 September 2026
The IIIM Centre for Health and Happiness at the International School of Informatics & Management (formerly India International Institute of Management) organised an expert talk titled "Building Mentally Healthy, Resilient & Future-Ready Campuses" on Monday, 7 September 2026, in collaboration with YouWeCare. The event, coordinated by the COPE Committee (Counselling and Outreach for Peer Empowerment), aimed to foster mental well-being, build resilience, and spread awareness about the importance of mental health in students' academic and personal lives.
The session was led by Dr. Mayuri Upmanyu, Psychologist, who spoke on the role educational institutions play in shaping the emotional health of their students. Her talk centred on three themes: mental well-being, resilience, and future readiness. She addressed how campuses can create supportive spaces where students feel comfortable expressing their emotions and seeking help, and how the capacity to cope with pressure and setbacks prepares young people for the challenges of professional life.
YouWeCare was represented at the event by Mr. Ayush S., Head – Growth & Strategic Partnerships. Guided by its philosophy of "Listen | Care | Thrive", YouWeCare works to make mental health support more accessible, and its partnership with IIIM reflects a shared commitment to placing student well-being at the heart of campus life.
In keeping with the programme's message, "Creating Supportive Spaces, Empowering Minds, Shaping Stronger Futures", the talk encouraged students and faculty to treat mental health as an everyday priority rather than a concern to be addressed only in moments of crisis.
The COPE Committee extended its thanks to Dr. Upmanyu and the YouWeCare team for their valuable insights. The event reaffirmed IIIM's belief that healthy minds build stronger communities, and the institution looks forward to continuing its efforts to nurture a campus culture of care, openness, and resilience.
