Makar Sankranti Quiz

A vibrant and intellectually engaging Makar Sankranti Quiz and Kite Flying Celebration was successfully organized on January 7 at the IIIM Campus, in collaboration with First India Plus, an Indian Over-the-Top (OTT) streaming platform, a digital entertainment vertical of First India News. The event was jointly conducted by IIIM in association with IIS (Deemed to be University), with the objective of blending cultural celebration with knowledge-sharing and meaningful youth engagement.

The event also highlighted the role of First India Plus as a comprehensive OTT platform and super app offering a converged digital experience through live news channels, digital newspapers, and a wide range of entertainment content.

A key highlight of the programme was the Makar Sankranti–themed quiz, conducted by Dr. Mahendra Surana, a distinguished former IAS officer. Drawing from his vast experience in administration, education, and broadcasting, Dr. Surana conducted the quiz in an engaging and interactive manner, encouraging enthusiastic participation from students.

Following the quiz and auditorium proceedings, the event concluded with a joyful kite flying celebration in the rear lawns of the IIIM campus, symbolizing freedom, unity, and the festive essence of Makar Sankranti.

The event successfully achieved its objective of integrating culture, knowledge, and student engagement, making it a memorable and impactful celebration.
