The International School of Informatics & Management (IIIM), Jaipur successfully organized an Inter-School Debate Competition on August 6, 2025, based on the thought-provoking theme "Social Media Does More Harm Than Good". This intellectually engaging event was conceptualized and coordinated by the Insight and TechWiz Clubs of the BBA and BCA programs respectively. It aimed to provide young students a platform to express their views, develop critical thinking, enhance public speaking skills, and engage in meaningful dialogue around a socially relevant issue.
The event received overwhelming participation from reputed schools across Jaipur, including Teoler High School, IIS Shipra Path, Vardhman International School, Springfield School, Sophia School, Wilfred’s School, Tilak Global School, Dolphins School, Cambridge Court World School, Cambridge Court High School, Tagore International School, My Own School (Bhankrota and Sodala), and JPGS. Each participant brought unique insights and passionate arguments, making the competition a truly enriching experience.
The competition was judged by two distinguished academicians—Mr. Manu Jaimini, who has over 25 years of experience in education and Ms. Anita Jhamb, known for her decade-long contribution to academic excellence. Their presence and insightful evaluation added immense value to the event.
After a vibrant and well-contested series of debates, the winners were announced in both English and Hindi categories. In the Hindi category, Ms. Labhanshi Jain from JPGS secured the first position, followed by Ms. Navya Sharma from St. Angela Sophia Sr. Sec. School in second place. In the English category, Ms. Sameera Bhatia from JPGS claimed the first position, while Mr. Saket Sharma from Vardhman International School was awarded second place. The winners were felicitated by Prof. Manju Nair, Principal, IIIM and the judges of the event.
The debate competition not only encouraged healthy competition but also served as a platform for intellectual exchange, reflection, and student empowerment.
