The 10th Roopantar—A national-level Business Plan Competitionwas organized by IIIM in collaboration with E-Igniters (IIIM’s Entrepreneurship Cell), TEIIC (The E-Igniters Incubation Centre), and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) on April 19, 2025. Held in a hybrid mode, the event attracted enthusiastic participation from over 30 teams across India and was sponsored by Lemon Chaska, adding a vibrant flavor to the entrepreneurial atmosphere.
The competition welcomed teams from prestigious institutions includingIIT Delhi, IIT BHU, IIM Lucknow, Miranda House, University of Delhi, Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), University of Delhi, National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), Mumbai, CGC, Punjab, ICFAI Business School, Jaipuramong others.
A total of 12 innovative teams were shortlisted from the nationwide entries to present their business ideas in the final round of Roopantar 2025. These ideas showcased a diverse range of sectors and demonstrated remarkable creativity, practicality, and social impact. Some of the standout projects included a smart solution for Enhancing Navigation for Railway Station Facilities and Locations, aimed at improving commuter accessibility; लेखni, an eco-friendly pencil made from recycled materials; SNOFFLE, an inventive product introducing edible straws as a sustainable alternative to plastic; an Advanced AI-Integrated Multipurpose VTOL Plane designed for versatile aerial applications; and sustainable construction materials like Eco-bricks and Porous Concrete, developed to address environmental and infrastructural challenges. Each project reflected the participants' deep understanding of pressing global issues and their passion for innovation-driven change.
The judging panel for Roopantar 2025 comprised seasoned professionals and industry leaders who brought with them a wealth of experience and insight. Ms. Aastha Jain Agarwal, the Founder and Managing Director of Pink Blue India, brought a unique entrepreneurial perspective, having successfully built a premium kidswear brand with a strong online and offline presence. Her understanding of startup journeys and market positioning was instrumental in evaluating the innovation and feasibility of the presented business plans.
Mr. Snehil Kohli, Manager of the Confectionery Business at Godfrey Phillips India Ltd., contributed deep insights into product marketing, consumer behavior, and supply chain dynamics. With years of corporate experience, he provided valuable feedback on how ideas could be scaled and sustained in real-world market environments.
Ms. Sakshi Goyal, Head of Marketing at Nest Jaipur, added a sharp marketing and branding lens to the evaluation process. Her expertise in digital marketing, brand strategy, and customer engagement enabled her to assess how well participants had thought through the marketability and outreach potential of their ideas.
Together, the judges not only assessed the technical and commercial aspects of each plan but also mentored participants by offering constructive feedback, helping them refine their pitches and think more strategically about business development.
Emerging at the top of this highly competitive event were two promising ventures led by dynamic young minds. The First Prize was awarded to Anya Jaishwal and Arushi Jain from Cambridge Court World School. Their innovative pitch stood out for its clarity, originality, and practical relevance. Demonstrating strong presentation skills and a well-rounded understanding of their business model, the duo impressed the judges with their entrepreneurial flair. For their outstanding performance, they were awarded a cash prize of ₹7,000.
The Runner-Up position was claimed by Shivam Sharma from the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), Mumbai, who presented a compelling business idea grounded in financial awareness and sustainability. His plan showcased not only creativity and technical depth but also a clear roadmap for implementation. His solo effort and persuasive pitch earned him the Runner-Up title along with a cash prize of ₹5,000.
Roopantar 2025 proved to be a dynamic platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to exhibit their innovation, creativity, and business acumen. IIIM continues to uphold its mission of nurturing future business leaders and fostering a spirit of innovation.
