ISIM Cricket League

ISIMAA the Alumni Association of the institute, organized ISIM Cricket Premier League (ICPL), on December 2, 2023. There were five enthusiastic participating teams—Alumni Amigoes, Alumni Squad, Alumni Avengers, Alumni Assassins, and Alumni Giants. It was an underarm box cricket tournament with eight players per team.
Dr. Ashok Gupta, Chairperson, inaugurated the event and expressed hope that such events will add to the spirit of camaraderie between the current and ex-ISIMians. He witnessed the March by the participating teams, played the inaugural shot and conveyed his best wishes to all the participants.
Nine matches were played, with Alumni Squad and Alumni Amigos standing out as the leading teams due to their enthusiastic and upbeat performances throughout the contests. Ultimately, Alumni Squad secured victory with the highest score, earning them the rolling trophy and medals for each player of the winning team.
Individual accomplishments were duly recognized, with Yash Mathur earning the prestigious title of Player of the Tournament. Ankit Jain's exceptional bowling skills earned him the Best Bowler award, while Aryan Sharma stood out as the Best Batsman.
The ICPL witnessed excited and encouraging spectators adding heat to the charged up environment filled with team work, sportsman spirit and thrill.
The success of the event was aided by the title sponsor, Jain Acres, as well as sponsors Sakshi-The colours of Handprint, VLCC-School of Beauty, GBirla's-PVC Pipe and Fittings, and R Virat -Wealth LLP.
This event not only provided a platform for alumni engagement but also highlighted the collaborative efforts of sponsors and participants in making the ISIM Cricket Premier League a memorable success.
