IIIM organized a workshop on Intellectual Property Rights on January
10th, 2019.The resource person for the same was Dr. Amar Patnaik, Associate
Professor, MNIT, Jaipur. Dr. Patnaik has more than 150 research papers published in refereed
International and National Journals and also has more than 80 research
publications in reputed conference proceedings. Dr. Amar was awarded with
several awards including, Young Scientist award in year 2009, Ganesh Mishra
Memorial Award in Year 2009, 2010 and 2011 consecutively, Bharat ShikshaRatan
Award in year 2010, to name a few. He has completed projects funded by reputed
agencies such as DST, CSIR and State S&T Councils and has reserved 07 patents in
his account. Dr. Patnaik oriented students and faculty members about the need and significance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). The workshop equipped the students with necessary critical assessment skills, insight and analytical ability to practice effectively in this field of law and occupy the position of experts in IP Law. He encouraged the participants to think innovatively and acquainted them with basics of Patents, filing of patents and the procedure from application to acquisition of patents. |
