Institute Innovation Council (IIC) of IIIM helda workshop on“Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)” by Ms. Shwetasree Majumdar (Webinar Organized by MHRD’s Innovation Cell) on January 10, 2019. Ms. Majumder briefed that IPR protection plays a key role in gaining modest advantage in terms of technological gains for achieving higher economic growth in a market driven economy. Ma’am highlighted that creativity and innovation are new drivers of the world economy. With the increasing relevance of Intellectual Property (IP) in this era of globalization, it is important to recognize the role which IP systems play in the growth of the Nation.The Workshop focused on various legal aspects of IPR including Patents, Copyrights, Trademarks, etc., and the role of an IPR advocate. The workshop was attended by the students and faculty members of MBA and MCA program with enthusiasm. |
