MONTAGE 2018
 

MONTAGE 2018, the 14th annual IT fest of IIIM was organized from 08-09 October, 2018. Montage has always provided an opportunity to students to showcase their talent and encouraged them to work with enthusiasm and commitment. Montage 2018 witnessed participation from more than 20 Colleges.

“Udghosh”, the inaugural ceremony began by Lamp Lighting by Dr. Ashok Gupta, Director, IIIM and Vice Chancellor, The IIS University, followed by Saraswati Vandana. The event proceeded with a presentation on Mr. Balaji Viswanathan, co founder Invento Robotics; Designer Mitra – the humanoid robot, that is made in India.

“Brain Bench - The Quiz”, was a brainstorming technical session in which the techno savvy participants were fired with some of the very exciting and challenging technical questions. This event was intended to test the contestants' awareness in techno world. The teams consisted of two members each. The winners of the event were Ms. Gayatri Lulla and Ms. Shreepana Prajapat from University of Rajasthan and runners up were Ms. Pooja Gupta and Mr. Rajat Sharma from S.S. Jain Subodh P.G. College.

“Pixels – Collage Making” was conceptualized to test the participant's ability to bring incongruous bits together to make a meaningful whole. The participants were required to make their collage on computers. The teams consisted of two members each. The judges for the event were Ms. Arpita Mathur, Advocate & Artist, Rajasthan High Court and Ms. Preeti Agarwal, Artist, Kalaneri. The winners of the event were Ms. Bhavna Gusai and Ms. Annu Chawla from University of Rajasthan and runners up were Ms. Disha Malawat and Mr. Mahendra from University of Rajasthan.

“Spectrum - Rangoli” was an enthralling rangoli making event to express the spirit of life through a prismatic splash of colors. The judges for the event were Ms. Anita Goyal, Jewellery Designer, Cultures of India and Ms. Neha Hada, CEO, Colour Palette. The winners of the event were Ms. Pratichi Gaur and Ms. Khushboo Jain from Kanoria PG Mahila Mahavidyalaya and runners up were Ms. Rupal Singhal and Ms. Seha Jain from IIS University.

 “Aamne Saamne – Mock Press”, was a role-playing event in which each participant was assigned a personality and was interviewed by mock reporters. The judges for the event were Mr. Amit Sharma, RJ, 95FM Tadka and Ms. Shilpa Shara, Rajasthan Head & Former Editor DNA, 2notchesup. The winner of the event was Ms. Avni Gaur from IIS University and runner up was Mr. Himank Choudhary from Poornima University.

“Code – Acumen - Programming” was an event proposed to adjudge the programming and problem solving ability of the contestants. It was a combination of perfect encoding and debugging for the technical minds to assess their programming skills, where accuracy was the key to score high in the competition. The winners of the event were Ms. Shreeprana Prajapat and Mr. Mahendra from University of Rajasthan and runners up were Mr. Piyush Johnson and Mr. Path Khemka from Poornima University.

“Drishti - Perception” had a set of processes by which an individual become aware of and interpret information about the environment. Assorted games like Dumb Charades, Memory test, Pictionery etc were organised to tantalize the participants brain and judge their perception. The winners of the event were Ms. Suchita Khandelwal and Ms. Swaranjali Saxena from University of Rajasthan and runners up were Mr. Kartik Rawat and Mr. Shubham Singh from Parishkar College of Global Excellence.

“D4U – Dance Choreography” was a choreography competition especially designed to bring out the future choreographers and dancers of IT world. The judges for the event were Mr. Ravi Jain, Choreographer, RJ Group and Ms. Taruna Vyas, Director, MOOVEZ Dance Academy. The runner up of the event was Ms. Sagarika Jain from Poornima University.

Day two began with four parallel events, Thru- Ur- Eyes, Crossroads, WebVision and Taal.

“Thru- Ur- Eyes was a theme based event focusing on the principles and techniques of communicating information, ideas, moods and expressions through the capturing of digital images so as to bring out the photography artists from the participants. The judges for the event were Mr. Jitendra Sharma, Assistant Professor, The IIS University and Mr. Tarun Gupta, Photographer, Tarun Gupta Photography. The winner of the event was Ms. Saagarika from IIS University and runner up was Ms. Seha Jain from IIS University.

“Crossroadswas an event where the ageless challenge of words and vocabulary was thrown to the young technocrats daring them to display their ability to articulate. The winner of the event was Ms. Suchita Khandelwal from University of Rajasthan and runner up was Ms. Swaranjali Saxena from University of Rajasthan.

“WebVision was a website development competition which aimed at exploring the creativity and imaginative, designing and also programming skills of the participants. The judges for the event were Mr. Himanshu Saxena, Creative Head, Anandam Pvt. Ltd. and Ms. Sonika Tyagi, CEO, Atcreations Pvt. Ltd.. The winners of the event were Mr. Shubham Singh and Mr. Kartik Rawat from Parishkar College of Global Excellence and runners up were Mr. Chandrakant Joshi and Mr. Piyush Johnson from Poornima University.

“Taal – Antakshari” is one of the most sizzling cultural events of all times. It is conceived to be a pulsating and vibrating mix of lilting songs and throbbing beats. The winners of the event were Mr. Himank Choudhary and Mr. Gaurav Wadhwa from Poornima University and runners up were Mr. Jitendra Singh and Ms. Kritika Swami from S.S. Jain Subodh P.G. College.

“Ooh- La- La – Snakes & Ladders” was to test the awareness of the participants of the world around. The winner of the event was Mr. Peeyush Pachauri from  S.S. Jain Subodh P.G. College  and runner up was Mr. Sanjay Sharma from Prestige Institute of Management and Research, Gwalior.

“Post IT – Technical Poster Presentation” was based on innovative ideas to find digital solutions to real-world problems. This year the theme for Post-IT, the Poster Presentation was ‘Cyber Bullying : Prevention and Solution’. The judges for the event were Mr. Ashish Dadhich, Sr. Project Manager, IntimeTech and Mr. Saurabh Sharma, CEO, Raivasa International. The winners of the event were Ms. Gayatri Lulla and Ms. Bhavna Gusai from University of Rajasthan and runners up were Ms. Meenu Tyagi and Ms. Pari Jain from Kanoria PG Mahila Mahavidyalaya.

“Bits & Bytes”, the Software Presentation was designed to provide a platform for the upcoming programmers to show their caliber to the techno savvy world. The judges for the event were Mr. Rupesh Jasaiwal, Sr. Software Developer, Q3 Technologies and Mr. Akhilesh Nair, Sr. Software Developer, Konstant Infosolutions. The winner of the event was Mr. Piyush Johnson from Poornima University and runners up were Ms. Rupal Singhal and Ms. Sejal Kothari from IIS University.

“Euphony- The Valedictory Ceremony”, marked the culmination of the two day fest. The Chief Guest of the ceremony was Mr. Ajit Sharma, CEO, AWC Industries. Mr. Sharma, in his address emphasized on the virtue of knowledge. He advised the students to be curious and make learning an incessant process.

He praised the performers and motivated them with his invaluable words. Mr. Sharma felicitated the winners with awards and certificates. He also released “Cambuzz”, the bi-annual news letter of the institute.

With this, the two-day technical cum cultural extravaganza came to an end with glittering prize distribution ceremony following the exhilarating performances by the students in the group dances on contemporary, western, bollywood dance forms and traditional, folk songs. The budding technocrats left the audience spellbound with their electrifying performances. The digital presentation on glimpses of MONTAGE-2018 reflected the fun and frolic experienced during the past three days and had a long lasting impact on the audience.

University of Rajasthan was announced the overall winner of MONTAGE-2018 and were awarded the Rolling Trophy.

The event was a great success with the support and efforts of the guests, media, sponsors, and all the participating institutes.
