IIIM in collaboration with Cambridge Marketing College, UK and Seed Academy, an IIT/IIM alumni initiative, conducted a workshop on “Digital Marketing” at the campus on 28th February, 2019. The speakers of the day were: Mr. Deepak Pramanik, Founder Director, SEED Academy and Mr. Nandan Sengupta, Founder-Director ESK Network and NSG Portal. They discussed the importance of Digital Marketing in the near future through examples from different fields. The students were enlightened about the career prospects after specialization in this subject. IIIM in collaboration with Cambridge Marketing College, UK and Seed Academy, an IIT/IIM alumni initiative, conducted a workshop on “Digital Marketing” at the campus on 1st March, 2019. The session was conducted by Mr. Atanu Ghosh, Chairperson, Academic Board for designing and delivering International PG Diploma in Digital Marketing. He is also a sought after visiting faculty in leading academic institutions of India like IIM Calcutta, XLRI Jamshedpur, IIM Udaipur and Praxis Kolkata. He has his own e-commerce venture Salt & Soap which helps the students get hands on training through live data and clients. Mr. Ghosh enriched the students with inputs on the importance of building strategy while advertising through digital marketing. Mr. Ghosh involved the participants in different group activities to help them understand Digital Marketing Concepts. He introduced “Search Marketing” to the students. He even stated examples like what keywords a common man will use while searching for a certain product/service and what type of response he will get on the basis of digital marketing platform. Mr. Ghosh even emphasized on how market segmentation is done by different platforms in digital media.
