Dear Parent,

This is to bring to your notice that Remedial is a part of the assessment policy under the CCE system, which at IIS is done in form of “Green Pen Correction”.

To make the ‘Remedials’ more effective with the students of classes I to III the school has decided to modify the policy as follows:

  • From now onwards for any test / FA, the teacher will do the correction in ‘Red’ pen, wherever the student has faultered.
  • A worksheet quite similar to the question paper will be given to the students to be completed at home and the parents are requested to monitor the same.
  • The teacher will ensure that the worksheet is completed by the student and will verify the same by writing ‘seen’. This worksheet will be pasted in their regular note books.

We solicit your kind cooperation for the same.

Warm regards,

Mala Agnihotri

May 04, 2016

Dear Parent,

Namaskar!

We at IIS strongly feel the students should spend quality time in the school as well as at home and this is a mutual responsibility of the parents and teachers to ensure the same.

Summer Break is around the corner. To ensure that you and your ward have a fruitful and enjoyable time in the next two months, we would like to suggest a few tips as given below:

1.    Have at least two meals together with your children. Tell them 100s of people work hard to provide you a meal. Let the child understand the importance of agriculture and the hardwork of people in the fields.

2.    Let them wash their own plate after every meal. Children learn dignity of labour from such habits.

3.    Learn 5 new English words daily and list them in a book.

4.    Visit 3 neighbours. Know more about them click pics with them-build a good rapport with them.

5.    Allow them to help you in cooking; let children learn to make some snacks.

6.    Take them to your workplace and let them understand that you work hard to support the family.

7.    Do not miss local festival.

8.    Try to share stories with them; tell them about your childhood and family history.

9.    Teach them a few folk songs.

10. As far as possible keep them away from TV and electronic gadgets; they have their whole life for that.

11. Look into the eyes of your little ones, thank God for giving you one-which is a wonder of nature. You are only a temporary custodian. In a short while she/he will be soaring heights where you have no role to play except to bless them.

Wishing you all a marvellous vacation ahead.

May 03, 2016

Dear Parent,

Greetings of the Season!

I am sure by now your ward has settled in the class and is putting in efforts to actively participate in all school activities during the session. There are a few points that I would like to reiterate:

  1. It is mandatory for students to wear their ID Cards while on campus. Alongwith the student ID Card, a Parent ID Card has also been issued which the parents or the visitors on behalf of the parents must also carry while visiting the school.
  2. The School’s Tentative Annual Activity Calendar for the session 2016-17 has already been uploaded on the school website. A copy of the same has already been sent to you for your ready reference.
  3. It is a joint responsibility of the parents and the teachers to make an effort to reduce the heavy burden of school bags, which most of the students are required to carry to school. Though the school is also trying its best to take all possible measures to reduce the load, there are a few suggestions for parents as well:
    • Parents to ensure that students carry books only according to the time-table.
    • Books should not be covered with non-biodegradable plastic sheet.
    • Students are to be advised as a part of Health Education, to carry well-designed backpacks correctly, to promote good posture.

We solicit your kind cooperation and efforts in giving the students a better and comfortable environment in the school.

01 October, 2015

Dear Parent,

It has been brought to the notice of the school authorities that some of the students are using two wheelers/ four wheelers to commute to school. Please note that the school does not encourage/ permit the students to drive by themselves to school.

Recently it has been brought to our notice by the traffic police personnel that some of our students bring two/four wheelers (they are not driving licence holders) to school and park these vehicles around the school campus. Also they generally do not wear helmets and sometimes they pillion ride in triplets which is strictly against the norms of the traffic regulations and could be fatal too.

We request you to ensure that your ward does not indulge in any such activity as the school will not take any responsibility if such vehicles are towed away or if the traffic police takes any action or in case of any mishap.

We solicit your intervention and kind cooperation in safe movement of your ward to school and back.

Thanking you,

Yours sincerely,
