Teachers Day Celebration in IIS Gurukul

September 5, 2007 Teacher’s Day, a day to commemorate the birth of our finest President Dr. Radhakrishnan was celebrated in IIS Gurukul in a simple yet elegant manner to express the gratitude towards the teachers.

Each teacher was given a traditional Indian welcome by the students.  Students put a Tilak on teacher’s forehead, tied Mauli on their wrist and presented a rose bud to make the teacher feel special. 

The student put up a short programme which comprised shlokas, couplets, poem recitation and speech. 

The programme concluded with the enlightening thoughts of Dr. Ashok Gupta, Principal of the institute. 

The programme was anchored by Ms Jyoti Sharma Grade 10 student.
