MOSAIC 2005 : Celebration Embarks on a Creative Splurge Jaipur, February 10, 2005. Be it a challenging array of questions or a game to test the incisive instinct to win the customer mind space, a mock-press-conference to judge the participants ability to think swiftly or a game of innovation and imagination by creating advertisements - MOSAIC 2005 has it all. As the name spells itself, Mosaic 2005 is a collage of the various activities relating to the different facets of the Management World.
Mosaic 2005,the 8th Annual Inter-Institute Festival of India International Institute of Management was inaugrated today by Mr. Deepak Singh, Branch Manager (Citibank) and Mr. Sanjay Singh, Branch Manager (Birla Sunlife Insurance) the Guest of Honour. Dr. Ashok Gupta, Director of the Institute informed the guests about the institute's progress during the last session. A special presentation on the encouraging life of Kiran Mazumdar Shaw was the highlight of the inaugural ceremony.
Management students from around 20 institutes were present to participate in the mega festival. 
The inaugral day of the 3-day-long event was full of enthusiasm and excitement that could be easily seen among all the participants. Though the winners were different at different activities, all of them participated with equal zest and high spirit. Day one had a wide range of activities including the quiz called 'Soch', where the contestants' knowledge and awareness of various functional areas of management and decisive & crucial change & happenings in the corporate world was tested through a gruelling series of rounds. R.A. Poddar stood winner. 
A mock-press conference named 'Roo-b-roo' was organised wherein the participants had to address questions regarding the personality they were supposedly given to enact. Very interestingly, the participants kept the audience glued to their seats by performing Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore emerged as winner from R.A. Poddar.
Signifying the traditional name of paint brush, 'Tulika' provided a platform for exhibiting imagination creativity and talent. Participants were given a T-shirt on which they painted images on the theme ‘Colours of Happiness’. R.A. Poddar stood the winner.
Following the interesting list of the Mosaic events, 'Chintan' was planned to be a serious academic exercise wherein participants administered case study to identify, analyse and solve the problems of the corporate world. It was a game to test business acumen and decision making skills of the participating teams. The winner for the event was Subodh.
Among the various day-long series of activities, 'Kriti' was an instant hit. A game of innovation & imagination, 'Kriti' had participants identifying jumbled brand names creating advertisements and also enacting within the given time with a distinct punch line. The team from NIAM emerged as the winner. 
Overall, the day one of Mosaic 2005 was full of innovative ideas, strategic approaches, presence of mind and a creative blast brought up collectively by all the participants. Such was the glimpse of the future business managers-MBA is still hot !


The second day also proved to be multifarious at IIIM. With the active participation of around 20 management institutes from all over the country, the event is still on to enthrall, intrigue and mesmerize intelligent budding managers. First in the series was BISAAT where the participants were given a card sheet on day one with a target to submit a complete portfolio with creative layout on day two. This was aimed to test the participants ability to develop marketing strategies for gaining maximum product mileage. 

INDRADHANUSH wsa a vibrant and enthralling rangoli making event to display the rich tradition of our country. The runners up were FMS UDAIPUR and JIILM were the winners in the competition. 

In CHAKRAVYUH in the age-old popular event, the participation was team based. One team member had the clue about the personality to be deciphered and the remaining two tried cracking it by asking a maximum of twenty questions and the winners were APEX institute of management and runners up PODDAR institute of management. 

MALHAR the game of ANTAKSHARI, brand named and packaged to appeal to younger generation was conceived to be a pulsating and vibrating mix of lilting songs and throbbing beats, it proved to be the most popular of all cultural events. 

In NIRMAN the participants were required to make a collage to display their creative genius, by amalgamating and integrating fragments and scraps into a picture that’s meaningful in its totality and entirety. The theme was “Think Global Act Local”. The winners were NIAM.

The final day

Mosaic 2005 concludes with the promise – “We shall meet again !” 

Be it song, dance, painting or an array of mind catching management games, when young blood is performing them, the show rocks! Young management students solved puzzles, won competitions, showcased business skills and the like, in the last two days of Mosaic 2005, and took no time to sing and dance when it came to ‘Nupur’ and ‘Swaranjali’. 

Mosaic 2005, our 8th Annual inter-institute activity programme concluded today evening on a blissful note of meeting even more zestfully next year. The popularity level could be well judged with the enthusiastic participation of around 20 management institutes from all over the country. 

The final day of the event was well reserved for fun, frolic, music & dance. To provide a platform to the participants to exhibit their melodious disposition, the singing competition, ‘Swaranjali’ was organized. Singing the tunes of success, Deepshikha Institute of Management was the winner and SIMCS the runner-up. 

‘Noopur’, epitomizing a fusion of diverse classical and folk dances was won by Deepshikha Institute of Management with the beautiful choreography performance and SIMCS was runner-up. 

In the valediction ceremony, the host institute IIIM presented a funfilled, kaleidoscopic and psychedelic mosaic of enjoyment and gaiety. 

Chief Guest Shri Dhiraj Relli, Regional Head, Retail Banking, ICICI Bank and Director Dr. Ashok Gupta felicitated the overall winner institute SIMCS and R.A. Poddar Institute of Management the runner-up. Asstt. Principal Dr. Shalini Talwar thanked one and all for such an ebullient participation.
