MCA 2004
The warm, bubbly and vivacious new entrants of the MCA programme were welcomed to IIIM with a party that they would not forget all their lives. The enthusiastic and fun loving spirit of the freshers motivated the seniors to plan and organize a rocking party that was a gracious mix of the IIIM traditions and the modern innovations.
On October 1, 2004, the excited freshers trooped in dressed as pirates, hippies, devils, clowns and rock artists to be welcomed with the traditional tikka and rose buds.
The celebrations commenced with a vandana and lighting of lamp to seek the everlasting blessings of the god almighty. Thereafter, the seniors presented an awesome assortment of dances, songs and medleys. The performances were near-professional and the juniors were thrilled to see the lighter side of the people they awed so much. A power point presentation was made to share with the juniors the memories of their seniors’ years at the institute. Not ones to be left behind, the freshers gave an equally enchanting performance on being invited by the seniors. Ms.Vandana Mathur and Mr. Ankit Bhatnagar were adjudged Ms. and Mr. Fresher respectively.
At the end of the programme, Dr.Ashok Gupta, Director IIIM, blessed the juniors, wishing them luck in all their endeavours and praised the seniors for their effort and hard work.
