Mosaic 2014
The 17th annual management fest MOSAIC-2014 organized by International School of Informatics and Management Technical Campus (IIIM) on 10th March, 2014 with vehemence, thrill, and ardor. MOSAIC has always been one of the most popular management events in the state. MOSAIC’2014 with its nifty events saw participation from over 25 management institutes. All the participants took part in the activities with zeal and zest and also showed team spirit to give their best and to come out as winners. The Fest was created, innovated and conceived to rivet and mesmerize the best use of the caliber of young minds.  In the true spirit of a festival, it was an assembly of talents on a platform to ingrain, ignite, immerse and inspire one to strive for nothing but the best. The three days of the festival had the IIIM- Jaipur campus buzzing with enthusiasm, verve and action from dawn to sun set

MOSAIC 2014 began by invoking the blessings of god with the saraswati vandana and by lighting the lamp. Dr. Ashok Gupta, Director IIIM  welcomed the guests and participants. Intensifying the confidence and thrill of the participants, he encouraged them to compete and enjoy the festival with true sportsmanship.

Prof. Nalinaksh S. Vyas, Vice chancellor, RTU Kota was the chief guest of inaugural function “The Fountain Head”. Prof. Vyas shared his valuable experience with the students and advised them to explore their hidden talent and encouraged them to outshine in all facets of life. He emphasized on contributing 100% in all spheres of life and being able to realize true potential within. Prof Vyas also encouraged the students to live up to the expectation of the industry and advised them to take more and more field projects along with their curriculum so that they can get acquainted with the industry requirements early on.
Every year Mosaic is dedicated to one luminous corporate personality of India Incorporated. This year it was dedicated to Shri. Adi Burjorji Godrej, who has been honoured with Entrepreneur of year 2013 and Padhma Bhushan in 2013. A power point presentation citing his life and achievements was displayed in the inaugural ceremony. The highlights and achievements of the institute in the year gone by were also presented in the programme through a power point presentation.

The competitionsbegan with  the event “Quizzard” –the Business Quiz wherein a series of challenging questions intending to test the participants’ knowledge of various functional areas of management through a mind boggling series of rounds took place. The winners were Anubhav Jain and Monik Sharma from FMS IIRM, Jaipur and runners up were Jeta Ram and Hukum Singh from FMS Udaipur.

The next event for the day was TAKE THE STREET (musical street play) an act of courage where the youth takes the societal issues which are a challenge for one and all. It was an event with a forethought to sensitize the “generation next” through melodrama. The judges who evaluated the performance of the event were Mr Mayank Rai Owner, Edugram Academy, Jaipur and Ms Amreen Ahmed, Chief Coordinator, Adolescent Intervention, PRAVAH, Jaipur Intervention. The winners were Gulshan Singh, Sonam Lal Sharma, Pratyush Batra, Kapil Agarwal, Himanshu Yadav, and Mohd. Hanin Khan, from Modern Institute of Technology and Research Centre, Alwar. The runners up were Akanksha Jain, Deeksha Sachdeva, Binita Rana, Anima Gupta, Jyoti Jangid, and Deepika from Banasthali University, Jaipur
Next was the CHAIN OF RHYTHM, the game of antakshari, pulsating and vibrating mix of lilting songs and throbbing beats succeeded to bring the joy of music to everyone present.The winners were Minakshi Jhanghir and Surbhi Maheshwari of Subhodh Insitute of Management & Career Studies, Jaipur and runner up team was of Krishana Soni and Somya Kulshrestha of Shri Karni College, Jaipur.Continuing with the wholehearted mood and enigmatic flavor of the event Mosaic-2014, the second day also proved to be multifarious at IIIM.
Day two also started with the same exuberance as the first day.  “The Crafty Edge” was the first event of the day, aimed at testing the acute instincts of the participants to win the customer’s mind space by developing marketing strategies for “Earthen pots”.  Participants designed the complete portfolio with marketing plan and creative layout (logo, punch lines, jingles) bearing in mind the competitive market scenario. The event was judged by Mr. Gautam Gupta, Managing Director, Omkar Textiles and Mr. Rajesh Meena Assistant Manager, SEBI. The winners of the event were Puneet Jain, Priya Sharma, Shreyansh Lodha of Subhodh Insitute of Management & Career Studies and Runner Up team was of Pankaj Panwar, Anshul Pareek and Rajkamal Mahawar from Mewar University
“PICASSO” was the next vivacious and engrossing event that allowed participants to paint their imagination on the face of their teammate. The participants were expected to highlight the theme “festivity”. The event was judged by Ms Shilpa Jain, Head, Sakhi Saheli Group. The winners were Toshi Chittoria and Shradha Bhardwaj from Banasthali University and runners up were Minakshi Jhanghir and Gunjan Kala from Subhodh Insitute of Management & Career Studies. 
The next event was BULLS AND BEARS- A virtual share trading activity, in which the participants had to take the right decision at the right time playing as investors. The one, who earned more, won the game. Winners of Virtual trading were Gaurav Jain and Sudhanshu Bikaneria, from FMS Pacific University, Udaipur and runners up were Vaishali Solanky and Maitree Jha, from Rajasthan Institute of Engineering & Technology.
The other very interesting event for the day was  TAKE A CUE,  wherein a case was doled out to the participants requiring them to identify, analyze and solve the problem therein. The event focused on the ability of the teams to identify various alternatives and formulate strategic solutions. The event was planned to be a serious academic exercise to test business insight & decision making skills of the participating teams. The tough competition was judged by Mr. Kunal Kishore, Manager, Genpact and Mr. Chhavi Katara, HR Manager, The Lalit. The winners of the event were Gaurav Jain & Sudhanshu Bikaneria from FMS Pacific University, Udaipur, and runners up team was Vaishali Solanky and Maitree Jha of Rajasthan Institute of Engineering & Technology
The next challenging event for participants was “Ad-guru”, where students were expected to elongate their imaginations to create an advertisement with a distinct punch line and enact it within the stipulated time. The distinguished Judges of the event were Mr. Raj Kumar, Head Rajasthan, Stratadigm, Mr. Jitendra Dhanjani, Managing Director, Mestech Education & Research Centre and Ms. Pinky Maheshwari, Deputy Manager, Marcom, Vodafone. The winners were Vidhi Jain, Kiran Kiroriya and Mahendar Singh Rajpurohit from Pacific Business School and the runner-up team was of Puneet Murarka and Piyush Bhati of Manipal University..
Dancing to the rhythm, fusion of diverse classical, semi -classical and folk dances representing the rich cultural heritage of our country, “HOT STEPPERS” was the last event organised for the day. The Judges for this tough competition were Mr. Vikram Singh, Director, INAS Social consultancy, and Ms. Nidhi Sharma, Branch Manager, HDFC Bank and Ms Kanika Vijay, Assistant Manager, Brand Communication, Vodafone. Isha Anand, Roopam Jain, Ruchi Jain of FMS Pacific University were declared the winners and the Runners up were Alpika Goyal, Priyanka Goyal, Megha Partani, Poorva Nigotia, Shipra Mittal from Subhodh Insitute of Management & Career Studies.
The last day of MOSAIC-2014 began with the event STRINGS UNPLUGGED - the singing competition where the participants were provided a chance to exhibit their melodious disposition. Fantabulous solo performances were held leaving the audience mesmerized. Mr. Deepak Jain, Manager Finance, Jaipur Pharmacy College, Ms. Neha Joshi, Director, Educom consultancy and Ms. Kavita Sharma, Manager, IIGM Pvt. Ltd. were the judges for the competition Srishti Upadhya, Subodh Management Institute and Pankaj Panwar, Mewar University, Alwar with their golden voices left the audience mesmerised and were declared the winner and runner-up respectively.

The assortment of creative and innovative events came to an end with THE CZAR OF MOSIAC which was a three day event, a combination of an in-depth interview and personality assessment by the judges on the last day of Mosaic. Czar of Mosaic come to its quintessence with the culmination round, which was a combination of an in depth interview and personality assessment by Mr. Anil Lachwani, Branch Manager, PNB Met Life and Ms Mansi Seth, Manager, Jaipur Rugs. Vidhi Jain of  Pacific Business School came out as the Czar of Mosaic 2014, of the stressing three level event.

The valedictory ceremony “Pinnacle” was the effervescent closing ceremony of the day packed with colourful dances and songs. The host institutes presented a fun filled, kaleidoscopic MOSAIC of enjoyment during the valediction. The musical voyage included a devout Ganesh Vandana, a scintillating contemporary number, beautiful dance performance on fusion of various Bollywood numbers, aptly coordinated and synchronized salsa, some foot tapping western performances, such as jazz, hip hop, and Rajasthani folk dance. The dance performances ranged between traditional dances to the high energy Bollywood inspired dance performance.
The nostalgic presentation of ‘MOSAIC-2014 Revisions’ touched the hearts of all present and left everyone misty.
The chief guest of valedictory ceremony Shri, Amrish Kumar, IAS, Project Director, RUIDP congratulated the participants and the organisers for the success and scale of MOSAIC-2014. He felicitated the winners and participants with trophies and certificates and congratulated them for their enthusiastic participation. The running trophy was bagged by S.S. Jain Subodh P.G. College, Jaipur. Pinnacle marked the conclusion of MOSAIC-2014 and boosted the enthusiasm of the participants and the organizers to carry forward the legacy in the coming years.
MOSAIC left behind memories of moments filled with creativity, fun, thrill, heart warming musicals, brain storming quizzes and strategy making competitions. Management institutes from all over India participated with full enthusiasm and zeal in this 3 day long Management fest. The three day effervescent event hence concluded with a promise to come back next year.
