MONTAGE-2013 October 8th -9th
Montage 2013,the 9th Annual Inter Institute IT festival was inaugurated on 8th  October, 2013 by honorable  chief guest Shri Bhupendra Dak, IPS, Commissioner of police, Jaipur. The inaugural ceremony “UDGHOSH” started with Saraswati Vandana and was followed by lighting the lamp. Dr. Ashok Gupta, Director IIIM  welcomed the guests and participants.Shri Bhupendra Dak appreciated the multiplicity of activities and competitions in Montage, and said that, events like MONTAGE are necessary for holistic development of students.

An electronic presentation depicting the events, activities and achievements of the students in the year gone by was put on view. Montage 2013 was dedicated to Shri Vinod Dham Father of the Pentium chip and a presentation on his life, achievements and contribution to the development of the highly successful Pentium Processors was made.

Day 1
The first day of the two day event was full of fun, enthusiasm and excitement. Teams lent vibrancy to all the events by their cheerful participation.
Aamne-Saamne was a role play event in which the participants played the role of renowned personalities like Kiran Bedi, Anna Hazare, Rajnikant etc. The enthusiastic participants were tested by on their knowledge, enactment  and spontaneity. The audience was also engrossed having been given the opportunity to ask questions to the participants. Mr. Praveen Singh Chauhan, student of Shree Karni College, Jaipur won the competition and Mr. Aryan Soni from S.S. Jain Subodh PG  College, Jaipur stood second.
n Brain Bench, a technical quiz challenge contestants were fired with IT correlated questions to test their knowledge and awareness about the field. Ms. Vibha Sharma, Ms. Preeti Rajpurohit of Biyani Institute of Science and Management, Jaipur were the winners and the team of Ms. Deepika varshney & Ms. Jyoti Jangir  from Banasthali Vidyapeeth, Jaipur was the runner up team
Bits & Bytes was a ground-breaking event designed to provide platform for the imminent programmers to show their caliber to the techno-savvy world, through Software presentation. The participants displayed their technical presentation skills. The team of Ms. Vibha Sharma, Ms. Preeti Rajpurohit of Biyani Institute of Science and Management, Jaipur was the winner. Mr. Osho Parth, Ms. Juhi Jain and Mr. Ankur Mundra from University Centre for CS & IT, UOR, Jaipur were the runners up.
Splash was an event envisaged to identify the creative amongst the rational. In this unique event, the young technocrats with appreciated painting skills composed a theme based painting on “Youth”. The competition had Ms. Sujata Sain from S.S. Jain Subodh PG  College, Jaipur as winner & Ms. Toshi Chittoria from Banasthali Vidyapeeth, Jaipur as runner up.
Among the various events of the day the most awaited and vivacious event was Taal, a version of the age old “ANTAKSHARI”. The winning team was of Ms. Ambika Jakhar and Mr. Manish Kumar from Shree Karni College, Jaipur, and Mr. Gaurav khandelwal and Ms. Sujata Sain from S.S. Jain Subodh PG  College, Jaipur stood second. 
Day one of MONTAGE-2013 was full of ground-breaking ideas, tactical approaches, charisma of intelligence & an imaginative outburst of talent brought up collectively by all participants.
Day 2
The second day of Montage came with spot light on Drishti a perception, based competition to test the interprepation and presentation skills of the participants.
Mr. Anupam Kumar Tripathi and Mr. Osho Parth from University Centre for CS & IT, UOR, Jaipur seized first place, whereas the team of Ms. Vibha Sharma, Ms. Preeti Rajpurohit of Biyani Institute of Science and Management, Jaipur was second.
In Spectrum, an enthralling Rangoli making event expressing the fortitude of life through vibrant colors the winning team was of Ms. Toshi Chittoria and Ms. Saloni Khandelwal from Banasthali Vidyapeeth, Jaipur, and Ms. Sweety Rajawat and Ms. Poonam Sharma from Biyani Institute of Science and Management, Jaipur were runner up
Web Vision was to test the website development skills of the students. The participants were required to design and write the scripts on the basis of the given particulars. Mr Ankit Gupta and Mr. Gaurav Garg won the first prize from Maharshi Arvind Institute of Science & Management, Jaipur, while Ms. Deepa Motwani and Mr. Sachin Bansal from University Centre for CS & IT, UOR, Jaipur stood second.
 Ooh-la-la was a game cum knowledge and awareness testing ground, based on the classic game of “snakes and ladder”. The more you know the higher you go but deadly pythons are on your way up was the tag line for ooh-la-la. The winner was Mr. Deepak Kumar Sharma and runner up was Mr. Anubhav Chaturvedi from Maharshi Arvind Institute of Science & Management, Jaipur.
The next event was to check the participant’s ability to bring incongruous bits together to make a meaningful whole i.e. to make a collage on computers, the event was Pixels. Participants made collage on the theme “Utsaav -The Art of Living”.  Competition of assembling incongruous bits but making them together having enormous intellect  was won by Ms. Poonam Sharma and Ms. Monika Pandey from Biyani Institute of Science and Management, Jaipur. The runners up were Mr. Tanuj Jain and Ms. Rokshna from Apex Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jaipur.
Code Acumen was to test the programming & debugging skills of the students. The participants were required to debug the scripts and to build some programs on the basis of given design. Mr Tejveer Singh Chahar and Mr. Suraj Pareek from ………won the first prize while Mr. Alok Verma and Mr. Anubhav Chaturvedi from Maharshi Arvind Institute of Science & Management, Jaipur stood second.
Cross Roads, an event to test the word power and vocabulary of the young minds was won by Ms. Aditi Mishra from University Centre for CS & IT, UOR, Jaipur, Ms. Rubia Aftab from Biyani Institute of Science & Management, Jaipur stood second in the competition.
In Thru-Ur-Eyes, a photography event expressing the fortitude of campus life through vibrant colors the winning team was of Mr. Chandra Prakash Soni, S.S. Jain Subodh PG  College, Jaipur, and Ms. Ravindra Kaur from Biyani Institute of Science and Management, Jaipur were runners up.
The most awaited event of the day was D4U or Dance for You. A competition for emerging software developers, especially designed to bring out the future choreographers and dancers of the IT world. The winning team members were Mr. Pushpendra Rathore, Ms. Prerna Sankhla, Ms. Chanchal Sharma, Ms. Divya Saini and Mr. Pramod Sharma from Maharshi Arvind Institute of Science & Management, Jaipur, and the runner up team members were Ms. Vibha Sharma, Ms. Nisha Sharma, Ms. Amanpreet Kaur, Ms. Komal Rani, Ms. Litika Marina  of Biyani Institute of Science and Management, Jaipur
Euphony was the effervescent closing ceremony of the techno cultural fest. The chief guest for the evening was Mr. Narendra Bakshi, Global Ambassador TiE, Silicon Valley, USA, who appreciated efforts put in, and the enthusiasm of the youngsters to put forth the best show and felicitated the winners and runners with winning trophies. 
In the valediction Ceremony, the host institute presented a fun filled, kaleidoscopic and psychedelic montage of enjoyment and gaiety. IIIMites presented dance choreography on various art forms like hip hopp, retro, folk, sufi, southmix & contemporary.
The highlight of the evening was a brilliant presentation designed by the IIIM students, taking everyone on a journey through the happenings of the two days. Thunders of applause reverberated in the auditorium, appreciating the technical abilities of the presenters.
The overall running trophy of Montage 2013 was bagged by Biyani Institute of Science and Management, Jaipur.
The Director, Dr. Ashok Gupta thanked the participants and facilitators of the event for making the event a grand success.
The ensemble parted with the promise to get together in Montage 2014.
