Mosaic 2016

International School of Informatics and Management Technical Campus hosted their Annual National Management Festival, “MOSAIC-2016”, with vigor, fervor and ecstasy for three days, 9th- 11th March, 2016. MOSAIC is among the most popular management events in the country. It is a meeting ground for young aspiring managers from renowned management institutes. MOSAIC -2016 was a fascinating canvas for students to unite and show their creativity.

“The Fountain Head” the inaugural ceremony was graced by Mr. Neelabh Chugh, General Manager, Lebua Hotels & Resorts, who also encouraged the students by his inspiring words. It was followed by a presentation on Mr. Sundar Pichai, CEO, Google, which showcased the efforts, grit and determination expected by young managers and inspired the students to aspire to be successful and innovative administrator like Mr.Pichai

The Fountain head was succeeded by QUIZZARD which had a mind boggling series of rounds with an array of challenging questions for the participants. The event was designed to test the knowledge and awareness of students in various areas of management. The winners were Rahul Jangid and Sambhav Gadhaiya from Subodh Institute of Management and Career Studies, Jaipur and runners up were Naresh Sharma and Priyanshu Jain from Rajasthan Technical University, Kota.

QUIZZARD was followed by “TAKE THE STREET” where the participants raised the pressing societal issues. It was judged by Mr. Subrata Das, GM HR, EHCC, Mr. Varun Bansal, CA, Kalani & Company and Ms. Rajni Periwal, Entrepreneur, Raunak Industries. The winners were Gaurav Naruka, Sandeep Chokan, Yavan Saini, Paramveer Singh, Shubham Grover and Shiva Garg from Modern Institute of Technology and Research Centre, Alwar. The runners up were Someshwar Sharma, Utkarsh Purohit, Meghna Jain, Sanjay Rawal, Kartik Singhal and Sandeep Sharma from Subodh Institute of Management and Career Studies, Jaipur. The day ended with the event “CHAIN THE RHYTHM” popularly known as ‘antakshri’. It proved as a thrilling and vibrating mixture of lilting songs and throbbing beats. The winners were Ashwani Kumar Choudhary and Surendra Pal Singh from Institute of Integrated Learning and Management, Jaipur and runners up were Sanjay Kumar Rawat and Sambhav Gadhaiya from Subodh Institute of Management & Career Studie, Jaipur.

Second day of the fest started with “CRAFTY EDGE’’ in which the participants were given products like Holi colours, Mirror, & Kites and they were expected to submit a complete portfolio with a marketing plan and creative layout. The event was held to test the incisive instinct to win the customer’s mind space by developing portfolio for the given products keeping in mind the product’s sales, distribution, pricing, and promotion with the ultimate aim of giving maximum product mileage.The winners were Shreya Choudhary, Shivani Sankhlecha and Jaya Sharma from The IIS University, Jaipur and runners up were Hemraj Choudhary, Ram Choudhary and Pradeep Sarawata from Maharshi Arvind University, Jaipur. It was followed by “PICASSO” a vibrant and enthralling event, in which contestants expressed their artistic talents by painting the given object. It was judged by Mr. Ajay Darshan Singh, Professor, INIFD and Meenakshi Girdhar, Fine Arts, GD Goenka. The winner was Devika Shekhawat from International College for Girls, Jaipur and runner up was Shipra Dad from IILM Institute of Higher Learning, Jaipur.

The next event was  “BULLS N BEARS”. In this event, the participants were required to analytically utilize their brain cells and win the game. The event posed exciting challenges which included formation of an appropriate portfolio and virtual share trading. The winners were Pradeep Kumar and Ram Singh Choudhary from Maharshi Arvind University, Jaipur and the runners up were Binay Kumar Yadav and Arman Sidhique from University Commerce College.

BRAND EX was another event which was a Brand expansion simulation activity. Participants had to identify & suggest a new unrelated product category for companies like Apple, Mc Donalds, etc. It was an event to test the Business Acumen and Analytical Approach of the participating teams. BRAND EX was judged by Mr. Happy Gangwal, Founder & CEO, Arihant Prefab Pvt. Ltd. and Ms. Namita Oberoi, Proprietor B4U/ GM B4U. The winners were Deepak Kumawat and Manu Sharma from Subodh Institute of Management & Career Studies, Jaipur and runners up were Priyanshu Jain and Sharli Arora from Rajasthan Technical University, Kota. BRAND EX was followed by “AD GURU” (Create an Advertisement), a game of innovation and imagination, wherein the participants were expected to identify jumbled Brand name, create an advertisement with a distinct punch line and enact it within the stipulated time. Further, the participants were also given products like Solar Lights, Shoe Do, Air Purrifier, etc. which they had to promote fr rural areas through live advertisement or any other innovative idea. The event was judged by Mr. Surendra Kumar Sharma, Deputy Manager, Rajasthan Raj Sahkari, Mr. Manish Kaushik, HR, Holiday Inn and Ms. Tapti Bhattacharya, HR Manager, Rukmani Birla Hospital. The winners were Gaurav Naruka, Sandeep Chokan and Paramveer Singh from Modern Institute of Technology and Research Centre, Alwar and runners up were Ram Singh Choudhary, Pradeep Sarawata and Hemraj Choudhary from Maharshi Arvind University, Jaipur.

“THE CZAR OF MOSAIC’’ was conducted at three levels. The short listed participants after the first round ‘The Quest’ held on day one were evaluated on the basis of general introduction and quiz, in the second round on the second day were evaluated on the basis of Ramp Walk on corporate theme and A Group Task. The culmination round ‘Exuberance’ of “THE CZAR OF MOSAIC” was a combination of an in depth interview and personality assessment by the judges Mr. Mahesh Purswani, Founder & CEO, The Bloom and Mr. Gaurav Goyal, Proprietor, SW Capital. The winner of this event was Someshwar Sharma from Subodh Institute of Management & Career Studies, Jaipur.

The day successfully ended with the most exciting event “HOT STEPPER”. It was an event which exhibited a fusion of diverse classical, semi classical, western and folk dances. The startling, magnificent and dazzling foot tapping acts were judged by Mr. Denis Noel, Senior Manager Sales, Onio Seller Services Pvt. Ltd., Ms Niharika Rathore, Founder, Worth Organization and Ms. Shivani Goswami, Head HR, Jaipur Rugs. The winners of this event were Raj Shekhawat and Lalit Mukhija from Modern Institute of Technology & Research Centre, Alwar and runner up was Kajal Singh Rajput from IPS Business School, Jaipur.

The last day of the Mosaic started with the activity “STRINGS UNPLUGGED”. It was a singing competition, which provided a platform to the participants to exhibit their melodious disposition. The captivating performances were judged by Mr. Sagar Lalwani, Tech Support North America, Microsoft, Mr. Pradeep Chaturvedi, Proprietor, Soul of Symphony and Mr. Ashwani Kumar, Regional Head, UAE Exchange. The winner of this event was Someshwar Sharma from Subodh Institute of Management & Career Studies, Jaipur and the runner up was Tanisha Adlakha from Modern Institute of Technology and Research Centre, Alwar.

The valedictory ceremony “PINNACLE” was the celebration of joy, hard work, creativity and innovation. The students of the host institute knitted the closing ceremony with stunning performances which included scintillating contemporary, western, bollywood dance forms and traditional, semi-classical as well as Punjabi folk numbers. The digital presentation on glimpses of ‘MOSAIC-2016’ appended fragrance in the closing ceremony and had a lasting impact on all present.

The chief guest of the valedictory ceremony was Mr. Surendra Kumar Rajpurohit, CEO, Blue Earth, Jaipur. He felicitated the winners with trophies as well as certificates and congratulated them for their fervent participation. He praised the participants and organizers for the success of MOSAIC-2016. Subodh Institute of Management & Career Studies, Jaipur was announced as the overall winner of MOSAIC 2016 and they were awarded with the “Rolling Trophy”.

Participation of management students from different parts of the country made MOSAIC 2016, a grand success.
