Certificate Course on ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’

A three day certificate course on ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ (CSR) was organized from, September 14th – 16th 2015, in the institute for the final year students of MBA batch. The workshop was organized by Society for Integrated Development Activities; Research & Training (SIDART -NGO) in association with United Nations-Global Compact Network India (UN-GCNI).The purpose of conducting this course was to instill societal values in our students.

The former chairman of SEBI and Padmavibhushan Dr. D.R Mehta, Founder and Chairperson of Bhagawan Mahavir Viklang Sahayata Samiti (BMVSS) graced the inaugural session in which he sensitized students towards the society in general and rural masses in particular. There were interactive sessions on CSR by Dr.Pramila Sanjaya Founder member, SIDART and Mr.Sanjay Mishra, CEO, Jaipur Marathon.

The second day of the course entailed field visits of the students to rural areas of Jaipur Disrict in the villages Bamboria, Rampura, Jaisinghpura, Mandawa, Sanjaria Thikariya and Vidhani. The students conducted social audit of households and schools of these villages. In the survey, the students gathered data on quality of life and health indicators like vaccination, malnutrition, health and sanitation in the households and infrastructural facilities of the schools.

The third day had sessions by Mr. P.C Pandey, Executive Director UN-GCNI as the chief guest along with Mr. Rijit Sengupta, Cuts International and Ms. Neeraj Kumar, President SIDART. The students were given certificates in the valediction session. The three day course, helped students in improving the ability to create and evolve high impact CSR strategies and contributing to community and society.
