Workshop on “Effective brand management”

IIIM organised a three day workshop on “Effective brand management” on 12th, 13th and 14th September, 2014.

Mr. Manush SenGupta, CEO, Brand Attitude, Banglore conducted the workshop for three days wherein he made the students know about brand, brand parenting, and brand attitude. He also made the students learn about brand management and discussed the advertisement of IDEA CELLULAR through a case study wherein students got to know that how an “!” (Exclamation mark) in !DEA changed the brand value for idea cellular. This workshop highlights the strategic implications of branding for the organisation and derives a framework and set of tools for effective brand management.

Mr. Sengupta divided the workshop in two modules and gave the nitty gritty of brand equity to management students at the institute. To give brand equity more practicality, he did various exercises with students where the students had to present themselves as a brand.

Through this workshop students got new insights and got acquainted with trends in brand management. Mr. Sengupta also shared his experiences of the advertisement world.

The conclusion of the workshop took place on the third day wherein he emphasised on “Sensibility” and “Selectibility’ of branding and advertising industry.

Mr. Sengupta very patiently addressed the questions and doubts raised by the students throughout the programme.

The participants found the workshop to be very informative and took part in the activities and assignments administered by the resource person with enthusiasm.
