Montage 2017, the 13th annual IT fest of International School of Informatics and Management, Jaipur is a two day event where the students participating from various parts of the country get a chance to compete on a different platform.
Montage has always provided an opportunity to students to demonstrate their technical proficiency. Enthusiastic participation of MCA students from more than 20 institutions made the event a huge success. The two day IT fest’s Inaugural ceremony “UDGHOSH” began with lamp lighting by Dr. Ashok Gupta, Director IIIM, and Vice Chancellor, The IIS University. This was followed by the IT Presentation on Shri Ajay V. Bhatt which showcased his greatest contribution to the IT sector, the USB drive and other notable achievements.
“UDGHOSH” was succeeded by BRAIN BENCH which is a technical quiz competition to test the technical aptitude and awareness about current IT trends of the participants. The winners of the event were Harsh Vardhan Lahiri and Anjan Arora from Apex Institute of Management & Science. The runners up were Akshat Saxena and Vikash Jajra from S.S.G. Pareek P.G. College.
“Crossroads” challenged the technocrats with words and vocabulary. The winner of the event was Prince Katta from S. S. Jain Subodh P.G. College and runners up was Amaan Raza Bagwan from Poddar International College.

The third event in the series AAMNE-SAAMNE, gave the techies the opportunity to morph themselves as the assigned personality for which a mock interviewer, interviewed them. The judges for the event were Mr. Sandeep Menghani, Director, Yashashwi Bhawa and Mr. Sandeep Vyas, faculty, IIIM. The winner was Shristi Chaudhary from International College for Girls and runners up was Ashutosh Soni Apex Institute of Science and Management.

“BITS & BYTES”, provided a platform to the technocrats to showcase their caliber in software development. The judges for the event were Mr. Chandra Prakash Joshi, IT Analyst, CIENA India Pvt. Ltd. and Mr. Sagar Chaturvedi, CTO, Arthonsys Technologies. The tech savvy awarded were Anuj Upadhyay, Bhuvnesh Mathur and Nishita Khandal from S. S. Jain Subodh P.G. College. The runners up of the event were Ranveer Singh Rathore, Pankaj Sharma and Shubham Saxena from Acharya Shri Nanesh Samta Mahavidyalaya, Chittaurgarh.

The technical poster presentation, “Post IT”, was a new event introduced in Montage 2017. It aimed at motivating students to come up with innovative digital solutions for the real-world problems. The problem was “Smart Parking”, the participants came up with intresting solutions. The event was judged by Mr. Gaurav Singhal, Project Manager, A3 Logics and Ms. Swati Chotia, Project Manager, Dot Squares. The winners were Bhavana Gusai and Sunil Kumar from UCC University of Rajasthan. The runners up were Komal Tolani and Kashish Chhabra from Kanoria P.G. Mahila Mahavidayalaya.

“Webvision” aimed at holistic assessment of the techs and evaluating them on their creativity, imagination, designing and programming skills. The judges for the event were Mr. Sumit Yadav, COO, OYS Infotel and Ms. Shraddha Agiwal, Edupreneur, Codex Infosolutions. The winners were Srishti Dwivedi and Sejal Kothari from International College for Girls. The runners up were Kartik Rawat and Shubham Singh from Parishkar College of Global Excellence.

The sizzling cultural event, “Taal” added vibrancy to the event. The participants amused the audience with their melodious song in the Antakshari. The winners were Harsh Vardhan Lahiri and Anjan Arora from Apex Institute of Science and Management. The runners up were Sejal Kothari and Jyoti Vadhwani from International College for Girls.
The second day started with the event DRISHTI. “Drishti” was conducted to assess the interpretation ability and perception of the techies using different games as tools such as Dumb Charades, Memory Test, Pictionery etc. The winners were Shubham Singh and Kartik Rawat from Parishkar College of Global Excellence. The runners up were Bhavana Gusai and Sunil Kumar from UCC University of Rajasthan.

The next event was “Spectrum” brought out the creativity in the contestants through a prismatic splash of colors in rangoli on the theme ‘Women Power’. The judges for the event were Ms. Anita Goyal, Freelance Jewelry Designer and Ms. Rekha Nimani, CEO, Niyojan Designs. The winners of the event were Saloni Jain and Pooja Kumawat from Rajasthan College of Engineering for Women. While, the runners up were Rupal Singhal and Vandana Bhagwani from International College for Girls.

OOH-LA-LA was fun with technology. It was based on the most popular game, Snakes ‘n’ Ladders, where the students were judged on IT and general awareness. The winner was Vishal Trivedi from SS Jain Subodh PG College while the runner up was Tanvi Khandal from International College for Girls.

It was succeeded by “Code-Acumen”, Coding and debugging competition. The winners of this competition were Mahendra and Annu Chawala from UCC University of Rajasthan. The runners up were Aditya Kadiwal and Priya Bairwa from SS Jain Subodh PG College.

The photography skills of the students were assessed in the event “Thru-Ur-Eyes”. It focused on the principles and techniques of communicating information, ideas, moods and expressions by digital capturing of images. The themes for the 3 rounds were reflection, texture and colours. The judge of the event was Mr. Jitendra Joshi, Sr. Manager, Vodafone. The winner was Anuj Upadhyay from SS Jain Subodh PG College while the runner up was Ayesha Khan from Shankara Group of Institutions.

“Pixels” was conducted to assess the ability of the participants to put the bits together to form a meaningful whole through collage making on computer. The images provided to the participants were chosen as per the themes Internet of things and Skill India. The judges of the event were Ms. Shilpa Arora, Director, Color on Fabs and Ms. Deepti Sood, Director, Nest Creativity. The winners of this event were Sunil Kumar and Mahaveer Swami from UCC University of Rajasthan. The runners up were Ashutosh Soni and Anjan Arora from Apex Institute of Science and Management.

“D4U” or dance for you or dhamaal for you was conducted to figure out the creative choreographers behind the tech mind. The judges for the event were Ms. Taruna Vyas, Director, Krishna Kriti and Mr. Girish Pamnani, Director Movez Dance Academy. The winners were Sakshi Kanwar and Payal Shivdasani from Biyani Group of Colleges. The runner up was Kartik Rawat from Parishkar College of Global Excellence.

The two days of fun and thrill ended with the valediction ceremony EUPHONY. The chief guest for the event was Mr. Piyush Poddar, Executive leader at Axelerant Technologies, Inc. based in Atlanta, USA who awarded the winners and released the biannual newsletter Cambuzz. His motivating words filled students with energy.
Krishna dance, garba, bollywood dance, retro dance and other magical and soulful performances were presented by students of IIIM. The singers with their melodious renditions added the musical flavor. With such exhilarating performances, fun, enthusiasm and zeal on the second day, the fest ended leaving a lasting impact on one and all.
