Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Digital Banking

A Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on Digital Banking was organized on December 18, 2016. The resource person was Mr. Manish Mathur, Branch Manager, HDFC Bank Ltd.

Mr. Mathur highlighted the growing importance of electronic transactions and money transfer in the fast changing financial environment. He acquainted the participants with the benefits and effects of digital banking, the precautions to be taken and the range of services available.

A brief description of e-banking apps , e-wallets and net banking was given by the speaker. Mr. Mathur talked about the multiple platforms such as desktops, laptops tablets and mobiles and accessibility features of electronic banking.

He also informed about the various payment apps introduced by the HDFC bank for the convenience of the customers like Chillr and Payzapp, as well as the Smartbuy platform. He requested participants to install these apps on the mobile to have hassle free banking experience. Participants were also made familiar with various digital initiatives taken by Government of India for the benefit of customers.

Participants enthusiastically downloaded many apps and cleared their doubts by interacting with the resource person.
