FDP with Dr. Bal Krishna

A Faculty Development Programme (FDP) was organized on Research Methods in Management on July 21, 2016. The resource person was Dr. Bal Krishna, Professor, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla.
The objective of the FDP was to provide practical hands-on experience to the participants in understanding the process of conducting basic as well as advanced management research. The participants were able to learn in-depth use of statistical packages that are widely used for conducting business research study. The participants also got exposure to various multivariate data analysis in research. The programme was aimed to expose participants to a selected set of multivariate statistical tools and data mining approaches. The FDP was helpful in understanding the applicability and the underlying logic of the statistical tools.
Professor Bal Krishna emphasized the role played by scientific methods in tackling various problems for modern business. He conveyed that data analysis techniques provide the researchers with a variety of tools from mathematics, statistics, economics and operational research for better decision making.
The participants were benefitted by the programme and gained knowledge on tools that help researchers to provide a more precise description and solution of the problem.
