Workshop on Communication Skills

A day long workshop was organized on September 8, 2010 with resource person Mr. Praveen Sahay, Chief Branch Manager, Bank of Baroda, Mr. Anshuman Pachori, Head, Corporate Relations, Futurocks Innoentures Up and Mr. Abhishek Shukla, Head, Corporate Relations, Futurocks Innoentures Up. 

Mr. Sahay acquainted the students with the significance of communication in today’s competitive life. He said that it is a social need for an individual regardless of the size of business. He quoted the statement “Effective communication is the lifeblood of an organization” to stress upon the significance of effective communication in work environment. 

Mr. Sahay discussed the goals of communication skills to build better and cordial relationships in corporations and advised students to focus on effective speech and writing. He also interacted with students on various communication barriers. 

Mr. Anshuman Pachori and Mr. Abhishek Shukla, in their interactive session, incorporated various well framed activities to provide experience to the budding managers on how a communication can mould a situation into favorable or adverse condition. They advised the students not to be confined to the bookish knowledge and emphasize on practical knowledge which would help them in corporate world. Role plays and extempore sessions were also conducted by them.
