Abhinandan-2009

The welcome ever smiles. The bright morning of December 4th, 2009 saw the students of IIIM presenting a kaleidoscopic show of dance and songs in ‘Abhinandan 2009’, to give a hearty welcome to the freshers of MBA Semester I, Batch, 2009-2011.  

The programme began with Ganesh Vandana, a gesture of invoking the divine spirits for blessings followed by a Welcome Note by Dr. Ashok Gupta, Director of the institute. Attired in colourful costumes the seniors danced to the tunes of Indian and Western numbers.

The impressed juniors not just clapped and cheered for the seniors on stage but were also heard appreciating the depth of talent in them.

The day was marked by a well-directed and beautifully performed cultural fiesta. The Freshers’ were seen draped in hues of striking Pink and energetic Crème to match the flavor of the season.

 Ms. & Mr. Freshers’ Contest was the highlight of the day. This was organized in two rounds and the contestants were judged on the basis of their spontaneity and composition of thoughts. Ms. Shweta Mathur was crowned as Ms.Fresher and Mr. Navjeet Sinwal bagged the title of Mr. Fresher. The titles for Ms.Best Dressed and Mr.Best Dressed were bagged by Ms. Priyanka Gupta and Mr. Saurabh Kumar Vyas respectively and for Ms.Sincere and Mr.Sincere were won by Ms.Shikha Jain and Mr. Deepak Verma respectively. The spectacular afternoon was interspersed by a number of melodious songs and a presentation on some interesting moments that made the function a truly memorable one.
