Seminar on “Career Opportunities in IT Sector"

International School of Informatics and Management organized a seminar on “Career Opportunities in IT Sector” in collaboration with HCL on October 20, 2008.

Addressing the MCA students, Mr. Vinay Goyal, Center Head, and Mr. Shailendra Mathur, Technical Head, HCL CDC, Jaipur and enlightened them on career prospects in the IT field.

The speakers conveyed that a strong knowledge base, clear objective and focused approach are necessary for opting the appropriate line of action in career hunt and advancement. Citing various surveys they informed the participants that the job market is ripe with opportunities for the IT professionals.

Giving various tips to the students on professional growth Mr. Goyal said that obtaining knowledge in specialized areas of computer applications, software, technologies, networking etc and, acquiring standard certifications in these would provide an extra edge to job seekers in the IT field. 

Sir also enlightened the technocrats towards the fact that in today’s changing technology world, a candidate’s analytical ability, communication skills, presentation skills and oratory skills are given more significance.

Student raised queries on opportunities in the IT field in general, and HCL in particular, which was effectively addressed by the resource persons.
