Day - 1 Genus Power Infrastructures Limited.In his inaugural address, Shri Agrawal motivated the budding technocrats and advised them to give their hundred percent to their future jobs and serve the organizations with unfailing dedication and sincerity. Dr. Ashok Gupta, Director IIIM, welcomed the guests & the participants of the event. MONTAGE 2008 has been dedicated to Shri B. Ramalinga Raju, Founder, Satyam Computer Services Limited. A presentation throwing light on the inspiring life of Raju, was the highlight of the inaugural ceremony “SHREE”. MCA students from 7 prestigious institutes were present to prove their mettle in this mega festival. The first day of the two day event was full of fun, enthusiasm and excitement. Teams lent vibrancy to all the events by their ebullient participation. Day one was packed with a mosaic of events ranging from the technical to the ones filled with fun, display of artistic talent & creativity. Brain Bench was the first event, where the participants were fired with a series of questions related to various areas of IT field. Students of Apex Institute Of Management And Science, Jaipur, Gaurav Chaplot & Amit Kumar Sharam were the winners. Kumud Ranjan & Satish Kumar from Compucom Institute Of Information Technology And Management, Jaipur was the runner up team. Aamne-Saamne, an activity putting the soft skills of the participants to test followed BRAIN BENCH. Here, the enthusiastic participants got a chance to get into the skin of personalities of the film, politics, sports and art world. Participants were asked to enact upon the renowned personalities like Inzamam-ul-Haq, Aamir Khan, Navjot Singh Sidhu & many more. They kept the audience spell bound by their performances. Ramandeep Kaur Saluja, student of S.S. Jain Subodh P.G. College, Jaipur won the competition and Vikram Singh Fartyal from Maharishi Arvind Institute Of Science And Management, Jaipur stood second. Following the role-play exercise was, Bits & Bytes which provided a platform for programmers to show their dormant talent to the IT world. The team of Amit Jain & Mandeep Bishnoi from S.S. Jain Subodh P.G. College were the winners.Megha Agarwal and Amit Jain from S.S. Jain Subodh P.G. College, Jaipur were the runners up. SPLASH was an event envisaged to identify the creative amongst the rational, in which participants were required to compose a theme based painting. The theme for the event was “INCREDIBLE INDIA”. The competition had Meenakshi Verma from S.S. Jain Subodh P.G. College, Jaipur as winner & Anil Kumar Sharma from Maharishi Arvind Institute of Science And Management, Jaipur as runner up. Among the various events of the day the most pulsating & sizzling was TAAL, popularly known as “ANTAKSHARI”. The winning team was of Nivedita Gupta & Manmohan from Lachoo Memorial College Of Science And Technology, Jodhpur and the runners-up were Shalu Jakar & Nikhil Bhandari from S.S. Jain Subodh P.G. College, Jaipur. The day one of MONTAGE-2008 was full of innovatives ideas, strategic approaches, presence of mind & a creative blast brought up collectively by all participants. |

The second day of MONTAGE commenced with SPECTRUM, a vibrating rangoli making event expressing the spirit of life through prismatic splash of colours. The winning team hailed from Deepshikha College of Technical Education, Jaipur and the participants were Raksha Nirwan, Nandini Sharma and Sumit Tanwar & the runners up were Dhanjit Mishra & Jayshree from Laxmi Devi Institute of Engineering & Technology, Alwar. DRISHTI, an event for testing the perception of enclosing environment encompassed various mind boggling events like DUMB-CHARADES, PICTIONARY etc. The winners were Yogesh Upadhyay and Vikram Singh from Maharshi Arvind Institute of Science and Management, Jaipur & the runner’s up were Anisha Sharma & Juheen Jabien from Maharshi Arvind Institute of Science & Management, Jaipur. OOH-LA-LA, adapted from snakes ‘n’ Ladders was a game cum knowledge testing round.The winner was Harshit Gandhi from Lachoo Memorial college of Science & Technology, Jodhpur & the runner up was Prachi Upadyay from Compucom Institute of Information Technology & Management, Jaipur. PIXELS, an event conceptualized to test participants’ knowledge of collaging incongruous bits together was won by Sumedha Nandy & Satish Kumar of Compucom Institute of Information Technology & Management, Jaipur. The runners up were Mohd.Irshad Alam & Vishwajit Kumar from Laxmi Devi Institute of Engineering & Technology, Alwar. PEN-UP, an event designed to measure the academic execellence of IT students. The participants were required to submit a paper on “Bioinformatics” & it was won by Alap Mukherjee & Vibhuti Sirotiya from Apex Institute of Management & Science, Jaipur. The runners up were Ambikay Sanjay & Chitra Singh from S.S. Jain Subodh P.G. College. The most awaited event of the day was D4U, Dance for you. A competition for emerging technocrats, especially designed to bring out the future choreographers and dancers of the IT world. The winning team was from Maharshi Arvind Institute of Science & Management, Jaipur, and the runner up team was from S.S. Jain Subodh P.G. College, Jaipur. In the valediction ceremony, EUPHONY, the host Institute International School of Informatics and Management displayed an aura of enjoyment & gaiety. The event was graced by the benign presence of Ms. Sudha Gupta, Director, Doordarshan, Jaipur.In her valedictory address Ms. Sudha Gupta enlightened the participants with the achievements and progression of Doordarshan as a potential medium for reaching out to the masses . S.S. Jain Subodh P.G. College was announced overall winner of MONTAGE 2008. Dr. Ashok Gupta, Director of the Institute appreciated and thanked all the participants and students for making MONTAGE 2008 a grand success. |
