Workshop on Developing Positive Attitude and Communication Skills

International School of Informatics & Management, Jaipur organized a day long workshop with ‘Udaan:  A Youth organization’ on January 4, 2008 to create awareness among the students to imbibe basic values and principles of life.  The main objective of the workshop was to develop an overall personality by emphasizing on sensitive and emotional identity of the students.

Practicum commenced with a play “Loose Control”, directed by Neeraj Kadela, a renowned theatre artist. The play highlighted the wrong path taken by the youth and what are the various possible consequences of such misleaded life.

 The day concluded with an enriching session of Mr. Ravi Goenka, Chartered Accountant, Director, Goenka Academy, BBC English Edge and Mr. M.L. Goel, Regional Director, D.A.V. on ‘Communication and Personality Development’.

Mr. Goenka highlighted the issues, which are related to management students.  He drew the audience attention on significant attributes like Time Management and communication skills. He delivered an extensive and comprehensive discourse on the rudiment of corporate behaviour attitude and etiquettes and successfully motivated the students.

Mr. M.L. Goel emphasized on the importance of etiquettes, he discussed body language, dressing sense and interview tips. He gave a live demonstration to show various body position, and there significance. 

Mr. Goel gave them various handy suggestions to improve their pronunciation, communication, dressing sense, body language and attitude. 

The session was well appreciated and the students enthusiastically raised various queries at the end of the session that were answered very impressively by the speaker.
