Management education is of paramount importance in the contemporary world where organizations and individuals are constantly dealing with change rather than static. The teacher is the conduit for the reciprocation of this management education. 

International School of Informatics & Management (IIIM), Jaipur organized a Faculty Development Programme on ‘Innovative Techniques in Management : Research & Cases’, on Sunday, December 17, 2006. This programme was aimed at developing teaching skills to author, design, develop and deliver management education courses. The resource persons to address the participants were Dr. G.S.Batra, Punjab School of Management Studies, Punjab University, Patiala, Prof. K.C. Mittal, Punjab School of Management Studies, Punjab University, Patiala and Prof. Anu Singh Lather, Guru Govind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. 

The field of management is undergoing a constant change, so new tools and techniques have to be introduced to enhance the efficiency and profitability of any organization. The objective of FDP was to enrich the learning and teaching skills of the faculty to advance management education, research and outreach. It also aimed at developing managerial skills and utilizing organizational leadership skills. The FDP emphasized research and case study method. 

The programme consisted of three technical sessions. The first technical session was handled by Prof. Anu Singh Lather dealing with topics on Strategic Human Resource Management and Human Resource Cases & Experiences. The second technical session was taken by Dr. K.C. Mittal addressing the participants about Innovation in New Market Entry / New Product Launch & Innovation in Product Distribution. The third technical session was dealt by Dr. G.S. Batra elucidating about Financial Management Innovation & Experiences and Finance : New Focus on Indian Corporate World. 

The FDP consisted of lectures, interactive sessions & discussions, workshops, presentations, role plays & games, case studies and the use of audio-visual aids. Faculty members from other management institutes also participated in the programme.
