Patriotic Song Competition

 
   

The NSS Units of ICG organized the second Inter-college Patriotic Song Competition on the 24th of September, 2007 to mark the Foundation Day of the National Service Scheme. There were more than one hundred participants from twelve colleges of the state. The competition had two categories- Solo singing and Group singing. The programme hosted by ICG was organized in the ISIM Auditorium.

Patriotic fervor filled the air, once the participants started with numbers like, “Ae watan, ae watan…..”, “I love my India…..”, “Kar chale hum fida…..”, “Ae mere pyare watan…….”, etc.

Prashasti Jain of ICG bagged the First prize in the Solo song category, Neha Kala of Rajasthan University stood Second and Deepak Rankawat of Lachun Memorial College, Jodhpur, was placed Third.

ICG stood First in the Group song category as well. Satya Sai College and Rajasthan University were placed Second and Third respectively. The running trophy was given to the University of Rajasthan, ICG being the host team. All the participants were awarded participation certificates.

Shri Jasbir Jain, Chairman, Rajasthan State Minorities Commission, was the Chief Guest for the occasion. The programme was conducted by Ms. Tanvi Srivastava.
