BANDHAN 2011

BANDHAN 2011, India International School successfully completes its fifth consecutive year of the Youth Exchange Program with Germany. A fourteen member team with two escort teachers from two schools, Johannes Kepler Gymnasium, and Bildungszentrum Weissacher Tal, Germany were on a 20 day visit to India. This was a reciprocal visit to the visit paid by our students early this year. During their visit they were guests of the students. They enjoyed the festive celebration of Diwali, witnessed an Indian Marriage did sight seeing in Jaipur and nearby places, paid a visit to Shekhawati and the Taj Mahal. On 5^th November 2011, prior to their departure a cultural program was held where the host parents were guests. Two PowerPoint presentations were made by the Germans, one was of Germany and the other about their Indian visit. This was basically an exhibition of what they’d learnt here. The Hindi dialect, our dance and culture and they did full justice to it. The event ended by the Principal, Dr. Ashok Gupta giving away the mementoes. This was followed by light refreshment.
