IIS reverberates XIX Commonwealth Games…..

On 12^th October 2010, the students of the classes I to III had a fun time in the school as they participated in sports carnival in the school. It was a Mini Commonwealth Games. The centre of attraction was ‘SHERA’. The students loved him and he too was everywhere on the field motivating the young athletes The sports Captain of IIS along with two young athletes ran a full round of  the track and lighted the Games Torch and the audience cheered them . Then there was a lovely march past by all the participants on the tune of the song by A.R.Rehman “O Yarro…Yeh India Bulla Raha….” the theme song of XIX Commonwealth Games, New Delhi 2010.

The young athletes there after took part in various games like- Basket Ball, Badminton, Table Tennis, Shooting, Cycling and Athletics.

The center of attraction was there on friend “Shera”. Even Dr. Ashok Gupta-Chancellor, IIS University could not resist his loving feeling toward “Shera” when he shook hands with “Shera.”
