Every one seems very concerned about our planet. Referring to the Science and Social Science exhibition held on the 17th and 18th July 2009 where our young concerned citizens of standard 1 to 10 presented models and projects highlighting the sorry state of our dear planet. Our principal Dr. Ashok Gupta accompanied by the vice principal Ms. Mala Agnihotri were there to inaugurate and encourage all the students. A wide range of topics were covered. The depletion of the ozone layer is a big concern and it was depicted in a very meaningful way. Then we had the rain water harvesting technique. Yes, we are running low on our water table and it was apt that our students are aware of how we can conserve God’s gift, the rain. The drip irrigation, the volcanoes and the production of Indigo were other interesting projects on display. Going back to rural India we had a beautiful display of terrace farming. All the projects and models prepared by our students vividly reflected their deep knowledge and concern of what is happening around us and ways to prevent and avoid further damage to our planet. |
