MOSAIC 2006 : Celebration Embarks on a Creative Splurge
Be it a challenging array of questions or a game to test
the incisive instinct to win the customer mind space, a
mock-press-conference to judge the participants ability to
think swiftly or a game of innovation and imagination by
creating advertisements - MOSAIC 2006 has it all. As the
name spells itself, Mosaic 2006 is a collage of the
various activities relating to the different facets of the
Management World.
Mosaic
2006,the 9th Annual Inter-Institute Festival of India
International Institute of Management was inaugurated
today by Shri Gurucharan Singh Sandhu, IAS, Principal
Secretary, Technical Education, Rajasthan
the Guest of
Honour. Dr. Ashok Gupta, Director of the Institute
informed the guests about the institute's progress during
the last session. A special presentation on the
encouraging life of Shri Ratan Tata was the highlight of
the inaugural ceremony.
Management students from around 25 institutes were present
to participate in the mega festival.
The
inaugural day of the 3-day-long event was full of
enthusiasm and excitement that could be easily seen among
all the participants. Though the winners were different at
different activities, all of them participated with equal
zest and high spirit. Day one had a wide range of
activities including the quiz called 'Soch', where
the contestants' knowledge and awareness of various
functional areas of management and decisive & crucial
change & happenings in the corporate world was tested
through a gruelling series of rounds. IILM, Jaipur stood
winner.
A
mock-press conference named 'Roo-b-roo' was
organised wherein the participants had to address
questions regarding the personality they were supposedly
given to enact. Very interestingly, the participants kept
the audience glued to their seats by performing. Neha Jain
Emerged as winner from Subodh College. The esteemed judges
for the event were: Mr. Rajeev Masih, Mr. Mahendra
Choudhary Marketing Manager, Insecticides India Ltd..
Signifying the traditional name of paint brush, 'Tulika'
provided a platform for exhibiting imagination creativity
and talent. Participants were given a T-shirt on which
they painted images on the theme ‘Colours of Happiness’.
Jaya Mishra from Vansthali Vidyapeeth stood the winner.
The distinguished guest who evaluated the performance of
this events were: Ms. Tripti Bhargava, Artist & Exporter,
Dr. Shubha Tripathi (Practising Doctor) & Mr. Dhabaria,
Prof. in University of Rajasthan & Manufacture & Exporter
of Moduler.
Following the interesting list of the Mosaic events, 'Chintan'
was planned to be a serious academic exercise wherein
participants administered case study to identify, analyse
and solve the problems of the corporate world. It was a
game to test business acumen and decision making skills of
the participating teams. The winner fo the event was
Saumya & Sanidhya from Sobodh College. This event had been
adjudged by Mr. Nehal Jain, Senior Offer, Time of India,
Mr. Sarvesh Mathur, Director, Excellency Consultancy & Mr.
Gaurav Mehta, Director Brand DNA.
Among
the various day-long series of activities, 'Kriti'
was an instant hit. A game of innovation & imagination, 'Kriti'
had participants identifying jumbled brand names creating
advertisements and also enacting within the given time
with a distinct punch line. The team from Subodh College
emerged as the winner and the participants were Narendra,
Charu and Pravesh. Kriti had a list of Judges who by their
skills gave the best decision. The judgess for the event
were: Mr. Surajt Das, Mr. Mohit Arolkar, Branch Manager,
Philips India. Mr. Justin Varky, CEO, Jewell Association
India Limited & Dr. Rakesh Kalra. The winners of the event
were Subodh, Jaipur and runner-up were Maharishi Arvind,
Jaipur

MOSAIC
2006: CELEBRATION CONTINUES ON A CREATIVE SPLURGE
Continuing with the enthusiastic mood and charismatic
flavour of the eventful festival MOSAIC 2006, the second
day also proved to be multifarious at IIIM. With the
active participation of around 25 management institutes
from all over the country, the event is still on to
enthrall, intrigue and mesmerize intelligent budding
managers. First in the series was BISAAT where the
participants given a card sheet on day one with a target
to submit a complete portfolio with creative layout on day
two. This was aimed to test the participants ability to
develop marketing strategies for gaining maximum product
mileage. The esteemed judges for the event were: Dr. Harsh
Dwivedi, Associate Professor, R.A. Poddar Institute of
Management, Prof. Somdev, Director, ASC, UOR, Dr. L. M.
Bhandari, GM, RCCI.
INDRADHANUSH
a vibrant and enthralling rangoli making event to display
the rich tradition of our country. The distinguished
guests who evaluated the performance of this event were:
Dr. Supriya Agarwal, GP Capt. V. G. Deodhar, Dr. Rekha
Bhatnagar, Prof. Kanodiya College.
CHAKRAVYUH
in the
age-old popular event, the participation was team based.
One team member had the clue about the personality to be
deciphered and the remaining two tried cracking it by
asking a maximum number of twenty questions and the
winners were APEX, Jaipur and runners up by JECRC, Jaipur.
MALHAR
the age old game of ANTAKSHARI, brand named and
packaged to appeal to younger generation was conceived to
be pulsating and vibrating mix of lilting songs and
throbbing beats, it proved to be the most popular of all
cultural events.
NIRMAN
in this event the particulars are required to make a
collage to display their creative genius to amalgamate and
integrate fragments and scraps into a picture that is
meaningful in its totality and entirely. The theme is
“Think Global Act Local”. The winners were NLU, Jodhpur

Mosaic 2006 concludes
with the promise – “We shall meet again !”
Be it
song, dance, painting or an array of mind catching
management games, when young blood is performing them, the
show rocks! Young management students solved puzzles, won
competitions, showcased business skills and the like, in
the last two days of Mosaic 2006, and took no time to sing
and dance when it came to ‘Nupur’ and ‘Swaranjali’.
Mosaic
2006, our 9th Annual inter-institute activity
programme concluded today evening on a blissful note of
meeting even more zestfully next year. The popularity
level could be well judged with the enthusiastic
participation of around 25 management institutes from all
over the country.
The
final day of the event was well reserved for fun, frolic,
music & dance. To provide a platform to the participants
to exhibit their melodious disposition, the singing
competition, ‘Swaranjali’ was organized. Singing the tunes
of success, JECRC, Jaipur stood winner and IMS, Bikaner
stood runner-up.
‘Nupur’,
epitomizing a fusion of diverse classical and folk dances
was won by Banasthali Vidyapith with the beautiful
choreography performance. Subodh Institute of Management,
Jaipur was runner-up.
In the
valediction ceremony, the host institute IIIM presented a
funfilled, kaleidoscopic and psychedelic mosaic of
enjoyment and gaiety. A series of cultural presentations
concluded with the much applauded ‘Dances' where the
IIIMities blazed the floor, looking no less than the
professional ones. It was an instant hit.

Government Higher Education, Rajasthan, Jaipur and
Director Dr. Ashok Gupta felicitated the overall winner
institute Subodh Institute of Management, Jaipur.Vice
