The Department of Political Science organized a guest lecture by Prof. Arun Chaturvedi, Retd. Prof., Department of Political Science, Mohan Lal Sukhadia University, Udaipur on the 3^rd of August, 2007. The topic of the lecture was ‘India’s Foreign Policy in the Post –Cold War Era’. 

Prof. Chaturvedi emphasized that it is necessary for India to follow a realistic foreign policy in view of its emergence as a strong power-economically and politically. In accordance with the principles of Realism India needs to formulate a Policy which will not only cater to its national interest in terms of growth and security, but also take the country ahead in the global order.
