The
launch of FM RADIO 7 sizzled the skies of Pinkcity on 7th March 2005. 90.4
FM became the hottest number to have hit the air waves in town, courtesy FM
RADIO 7, the latest venture of the IIS Institutional Network. The
first community radio of the country run by any private college was inaugurated by Sh.Ghanshyam Tiwari,Education Minister,
Rajasthan. Sh.Ashok Parnami, Mayor of Jaipur was the Guest of Honour. The
ceremony was organised at India International Institute of Management (IIIM),
Sector 12, Mahaveer Marg, Mansarovar, Jaipur.
Sh.Ghanshyam Tiwari formally inaugurated the Radio Station by unveiling of
the foundation stone and switching on the transmitter. The audience enjoyed
listening to a live tête-à-tête with

& Sh. Ashok Parnami on air during the ceremony. The celebration followed by
the cutting of FM RADIO 7 Cake & the release of FM RADIO 7 Sticker. A
cultural programme was also presented by the ICG students.
Sh.Ghanshyam Tiwari, in his address, said that it is a matter of great pride
for the state that IIS Institutional Network has taken an initiative of
educating the masses through FM Radio Channel. Appreciating the contribution
of private institutions in the field of education, he assured every possible
support from the government. He also urged the Institutional
Network to establish a Private University for Women.
Sh. Ashok Parnami called FM RADIO 7 as a very significant innovation in the
field of education. He wished the channel to be grand success.
The Chief Guest Smt. Vasundhara Raje, Chief Minister of Rajasthan
could not be present at the ceremony for not being well but she sent her
blessings to the audience through 'Phone-in' programme. She said,"FM RADIO 7
established by the IIS Institutional Network is a modern concept. I
congratulate the Director, Staff & Students whole heartedly. This effort
will bring a revolutionary
change in the technique
and quality of education, I firmly believe. My loads of blessing for the
success of FM RADIO 7."
Director Dr. Ashok gupta, while addressing the audience, said that the
radio channel would prove to be a vital platform for the students to learn
and execute the technique of broadcasting. |
